Global Category Manager – Communications IC/Retimers/PHY

About the role

The Global Category Manager for Communications IC/Retimers/PHY will lead worldwide commodity and category strategies, ensuring procurement alignment with engineering, manufacturing and business units. This hybrid position requires working on average two days per week from an HPE office.

Key responsibilities

• Execute global procurement strategies, policies and tactics to meet business objectives.
• Coordinate purchasing activities with engineering, manufacturing, strategic procurement and business units to maintain optimal inventory levels and supply assurance.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to develop and implement program and process solutions that drive continuous improvement.
• Provide strategic analysis, mentorship and guidance to lower‑level contributors.
• Develop and execute strategic plans across HPE’s businesses and geographies.

Required profile

• University degree (advanced degree preferred) with 6‑10 years of procurement or supply‑chain experience.
• Global procurement experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent analytical, technical and communication skills.
• Strong business application, project‑management and leadership capabilities.

Required skills

• Mastery of English and local language.
• Deep understanding of procurement processes and corporate compliance.
