Associate Attorney – Bankruptcy (San Juan, PR)

About the role

The law firm in San Juan, Puerto Rico seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in bankruptcy. You will handle Chapter 7 matters and, over time, may take on Chapter 13 cases, guiding clients from intake through resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage bankruptcy cases, primarily Chapter 7, with potential Chapter 13 work.
• Conduct client intake assessments and provide counseling.
• Develop case strategy and draft motions.
• Appear remotely in court for hearings.
• Coordinate case documentation and filings.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in Arizona, Florida, Texas, New York, Michigan, Illinois, or Georgia.
• Admission to practice before the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the relevant district.
• Strong understanding of Chapters 7 and 13 bankruptcy proceedings.
