About the role

As a Project Engineer, you will serve as a key technical and administrative leader supporting complex construction projects administered by the Area Office. This full‑performance role offers the chance to meaningfully shape infrastructure that protects and strengthens Caribbean communities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with contractors, architects, engineers, project managers, and partnering agencies to ensure project success throughout all stages—design, execution, closeout, and turnover.
• Support complex construction projects across Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, including Military Construction (MILCON) and Civil Works initiatives.
• Oversee design, execution, closeout, and turnover phases for infrastructure projects.
• Serve as a technical and administrative leader within the Construction Division.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre‑Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
• One‑year probationary period during which performance and conduct are evaluated.
• Direct Deposit of pay is required.
