Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer will lead manufacturing development and productization of mechanical components for new product introductions, partnering with design, supply chain, and operations to deliver cost‑effective, high‑quality solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mechanical manufacturing activities from concept through production ramp and sustainment.
• Partner with Mechanical Design Engineering to optimise designs for manufacturability, assembly efficiency, quality and cost.
• Develop and qualify processes for sheet metal, CNC machining, die‑casting, injection molding, extrusion and assemblies.
• Collaborate with suppliers, contract manufacturers and ODMs to establish high‑yield processes and implement mistake‑proofing.
• Drive DFM, DFA, tolerance analysis, tooling reviews and production readiness assessments.
• Identify cost‑reduction and value‑engineering opportunities and support issue resolution through root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
• 4‑6 years of experience in mechanical manufacturing engineering, NPI or product industrialisation.
• Hands‑on experience with sheet‑metal fabrication, CNC machining, die‑casting, plastic injection molding, extrusion and mechanical assembly.
• Experience working with global suppliers, contract manufacturers and ODM partners.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
