QC Lab Co‑Op – Quality Control Internship

About the role

Join the Quality Control team at Johnson & Johnson in Gurabo, Puerto Rico as a QC Lab Co‑Op. This full‑time, 12‑month internship provides hands‑on experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, supporting laboratory operations, materials management and data‑driven decision making.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze laboratory material usage, inventory and purchasing data to identify trends.
• Assist in developing a standardized QC laboratory purchasing process.
• Create and maintain a site‑wide laboratory materials database and baseline inventory.
• Support Reduced Testing Plan initiatives through data collection and analysis.
• Develop dashboards and reports using Excel and Power BI.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities applying Lean principles.
• Prepare presentations and recommendations for leadership.

Required profile

• Completed freshman year of an accredited university program.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Interest in pharmaceutical manufacturing, laboratory operations and continuous improvement.
• Authorized to work in the United States without future sponsorship.
