Quality Assurance & Customer Support Engineer

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Quality Assurance and Customer Support Engineer to join its team in a hybrid role focused on product quality, test automation and technical customer support. The role is designed as onsite, with the expectation that you will primarily work from an HPE office, and focuses on the reliability and usability of the Mist Cloud platform.

Key responsibilities

• Validate Web UI and REST API functionality across staging and production environments.
• Investigate, reproduce and debug customer-reported issues, keeping customers informed until resolved.
• Log, track and manage defects and enhancements with clear documentation and prioritization.
• Build and maintain test environments and testbeds, and write and maintain test plans for regression coverage and release readiness.
• Write technical documentation for QA and Support teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Develop and expand automated test coverage using Python and modern frameworks, with AI-assisted tools.

Required profile

• 0-2 years of experience in Quality Assurance, software testing, Customer Support or related engineering roles.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of testing best practices and ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience writing regression test cases and testing Web applications and REST APIs.
• Experience with AI-assisted tools for debugging, test creation or workflow efficiency.
• Familiarity with Django REST Framework, Python, Selenium and pytest, and L2/L3 networking concepts.
