Reading Coach – $100k/year

About the role

Alpha is looking for a passionate Reading Coach to lead adaptive reading workshops for K‑2 students in Dorado, Puerto Rico. You will combine AI‑driven tools with expert instruction to accelerate phonics, fluency and comprehension gains.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver data‑driven reading workshops that improve phonics, fluency and comprehension.
• Analyze student progress data to refine instruction and provide actionable insights.
• Collaborate with engineers to evaluate and enhance AI literacy tools used in the classroom.
• Develop scalable, AI‑enhanced content that helps early elementary students reach grade‑level proficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any field plus a Master’s in reading instruction or a structured‑literacy certification (e.g., Orton‑Gillingham, LETRS).
• Minimum 2 years of recent full‑time K‑2 structured reading instruction experience.
• Proficiency in administering and analyzing reading assessments and designing differentiated lessons.
• Fluent in English and Spanish and legally authorized to work in Puerto Rico without sponsorship.
