Senior People Business Advisor

About the role

The Senior People Business Advisor provides professional people support to assigned business areas, partnering with People leadership to deliver employee and labor relations services. This role conducts investigations, handles employee relations matters, and supports collective bargaining activities while ensuring consistent application of policies and compliance with employment laws.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct workplace investigations, gather and analyze information, and document findings to resolve employee relations issues.
• Support union grievance handling, collective bargaining research, data preparation, and implementation of negotiated changes.
• Provide guidance to managers on disciplinary actions, performance concerns, and other employee‑related matters.
• Analyze workforce data to identify trends, support workforce planning, and recommend data‑informed actions.
• Maintain accurate case files, assist with compliance to EEO, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, and other regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Labor Relations, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of HR experience, preferably in employee and labor relations.
• Fully bilingual in Spanish and English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to multiple locations, including outside Puerto Rico.
• Working knowledge of federal and local employment laws (EEO, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, etc.).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience using HR information systems and related technology.
