Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1

About the role

We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll support the store leadership team in delivering excellent customer service and achieving sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide an amazing shopping experience, leveraging product knowledge and customer service skills.
• Cover the sales floor and support the manager when needed.
• Open and close the store as required.
• Process sales transactions at the register and promote add‑on sales, including BOPIS and curbside pickup.
• Understand store sales plan, comp sales goals, and key KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
• Assist with planogram changes, merchandising, and fixture placement.
• Communicate fashion and music trend information to management and HQ partners.
• Maintain stock room organization and store tidiness.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year retail store experience.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 50 pounds and operate store equipment.
