Commodity Planning & Procurement Manager

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Commodity Planning & Procurement Manager II to lead component planning for HPE Networking's semiconductor and memory products. The role owns component supply health through forecasting, procurement, inventory management, supplier collaboration and risk mitigation, ensuring continuity of supply. It is a hybrid position with about two days per week working from an HPE office.

Key responsibilities

• Lead fulfillment strategies across component suppliers, distributors/3PLs, ODM/CM partners and internal teams, including procurement strategy
• Drive inventory management and improve turns, resolving shortages with urgency and precision
• Lead co-planning/CPFR with suppliers, including reporting tools and performance dashboards
• Own component forecasting and supply health metrics, and mitigate risks to keep production running
• Coordinate with suppliers, procurement, engineering and operations to resolve shortages
• Lead supply reporting, dashboards, shortage summaries and executive updates
• Manage procurement execution: purchase orders, lead times, supplier commitments and supply continuity planning
• Analyze data to forecast risks and support cost-reduction and process-improvement initiatives

Required profile

• Deep understanding of semiconductor commodities (silicon, wireless, FPGA, CPU, memory) and lead-time management, allocation and lifecycle planning
• Experience in material management, demand planning, direct procurement or supply chain operations
• Proven ability to turn data into actionable recommendations
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, operations or a related field preferred; 7+ years of experience in semiconductor supply chain, commodity management, demand/supply planning, procurement or supply operations preferred
• Background in networking, server or hardware manufacturing environments preferred

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, Power Query, complex formulas, dashboards)
• Power BI, Tableau or similar reporting tools preferred
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle)
