Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Manager

About the role

The Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Manager partners with the Human Resources Director and senior leadership to design and execute the total rewards strategy. This senior HR professional ensures competitive compensation, compliant payroll, and effective benefit programs to attract and retain top talent.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage compensation structures, internal equity plans, and market trend analyses.
• Serve as payroll subject‑matter expert, overseeing processing, compliance, and system administration in Workday and ADP SmartCompliance.
• Ensure all regulatory reporting, tax filings, and statutory requirements (W‑2, Social Security, unemployment) are completed accurately and on time.
• Administer leave programs, wellness initiatives, and employee benefit plans including 401(k) ERISA compliance and annual nondiscrimination testing.
• Manage the HR budget, track salary and benefit accruals, and prepare absenteeism and attendance reports for leadership.
• Lead community engagement programs such as Back‑to‑School initiatives and health awareness campaigns.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or related field; advanced degrees preferred.
• 5‑10+ years progressive experience in compensation, benefits, payroll administration and regulatory compliance.
• Professional certifications such as SHRM‑SCP or CCBP are preferred.
• Full bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
