Compliance Manager

About the role

LUMA Energy is seeking a Compliance Manager to lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of an effective compliance program across the organization. The role ensures adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies while supporting the company’s mission to provide reliable electric power throughout Puerto Rico.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate compliance processes, identify gaps, and drive corrective actions to maintain operational discipline.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to establish and enforce compliance protocols, ensuring consistency and accountability.
• Develop and deliver training, coaching, and advisory support to promote adoption of compliance best practices.
• Produce reports for senior management on compliance status, risks, activities, and remediation progress.
• Lead investigations, implement corrective action plans, and strengthen organizational controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or related field (Juris Doctor preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in legal compliance, risk management, internal audit, or similar roles, including managerial responsibilities.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and management skills with the ability to influence senior personnel and external stakeholders.
