Engineering Manager – Software Quality Assurance

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the EX System Testing Team, ensuring reliability, performance and scalability of the Networking EX Switch platform. The role is hybrid, requiring on‑site presence two days per week.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Software Quality Assurance team to deliver high‑quality products and customer satisfaction.
• Act as escalation point for complex technical issues, coordinating cross‑functional resolution.
• Oversee QA processes for hardware modules and software components, developing rigorous testing frameworks.
• Manage high‑priority customer escalations, identify root causes and implement long‑term solutions.
• Control headcount, schedules and budgets for QA activities and align efforts with product roadmaps.
• Drive process improvements, leveraging AI and automation to increase test coverage and reduce costs.
• Recruit, mentor and develop a high‑performing QA engineering team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer or Software Engineering (advanced degree optional).
• 5+ years of relevant experience, including 0‑2 years of people‑management.
• Proven experience in hardware/software testing, preferably in networking or data‑center environments.
• Strong leadership, project‑management and customer‑focused problem‑solving skills.
