Human Resources Director

About the role

Our client, a well‑established engineering and industrial services company, is looking for a Human Resources Director to shape and execute the people strategy. This senior role partners directly with executive leadership and will drive talent, culture, and organizational development across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all HR functions including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation & benefits, training, compliance and organizational development.
• Partner with senior executives to align HR initiatives with business objectives and drive workforce planning, succession and talent development.
• Ensure compliance with Puerto Rico employment laws and company policies while providing coaching to managers on employee matters.
• Analyze HR metrics, support change‑management projects and travel to the EU up to 25% of the time.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology or related field.
• 8‑10 years progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in leadership roles.
• Strong experience in high‑volume recruitment and proven ability to manage HR teams.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Puerto Rico employment legislation.
• Expertise in talent acquisition, succession planning and organizational development.
• Ability to analyze HR data and translate trends into strategic decisions.
