Manufacturing Software Python Test Developer

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Manufacturing Software Test Development Engineer to design, develop, and support test automation solutions for networking products. The role is hybrid, requiring on‑site work about two days per week.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain manufacturing test automation frameworks, tools, and scripts.
• Develop robust automation solutions using object‑oriented Python and Perl.
• Define test requirements, ensure comprehensive coverage, and improve test effectiveness.
• Troubleshoot complex software, system, and manufacturing production issues.
• Conduct code reviews and promote best practices in test automation.
• Support New Product Introduction programs and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4–6+ years of experience developing manufacturing test automation or large‑scale test frameworks.
• Strong hands‑on programming experience with Python and/or Perl.
• Experience working in Linux‑based environments and understanding of manufacturing test methodologies.
• Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and root‑cause analysis skills.
