Senior Advanced Systems Engineer – Flight Management Systems

About the role

As a Senior Advanced Systems Engineer for Flight Management Systems at Honeywell Aerospace, you will work in a fast‑paced development environment alongside experienced systems and software engineers. The role supports functional load deliveries, ensures certification compliance, and reports to the Sr Engineering Manager in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and define software requirements for the Anthem Next Generation Avionics project.
• Support design and development of advanced hardware, software, and network components.
• Lead system integration, testing on lab benches, verification and validation activities.
• Implement security measures and compliance standards, and oversee system deployment and configuration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (STEM).
• 7+ years of systems engineering and project leadership in avionics, flight management or flight guidance.
• Extensive experience with systems integration, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• DOORS NG and Atlassian toolsets for configuration and change management.
• Agile development processes.
• Knowledge of DO‑178B/C and ARP‑4754 standards.
• Experience with ARINC 429 and signal debugging.
• Systems integration and project management tools.
