Boutique Hotel Manager

About the role

Flor de India is looking for an experienced Boutique Hotel Manager to lead day‑to‑day operations of its boutique property in San Juan. This hands‑on position blends guest‑facing presence with broader operational oversight, reporting directly to ownership.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a visible, accessible presence on the floor, conducting regular inspections of rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces.
• Oversee the full guest journey from reservation to checkout, handling VIP stays, special requests and service recovery.
• Coordinate Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance and external vendors to ensure seamless property operations.
• Manage scheduling, purchasing, inventory, and property‑management system settings, including OTA rate management.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of approximately six housekeeping staff and external service providers.
• Monitor operating costs, support budgeting, and own revenue, occupancy, ADR and pricing decisions.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years progressive experience in hotel or hospitality management, preferably in boutique or lifestyle properties.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a small hospitality team and to work independently making operational decisions.
• Strong guest‑service mindset with experience in service recovery and handling escalated issues.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Required skills

• OTA management experience.
• Familiarity with hotel property‑management and reservation systems.
