About the role

The Dishwasher ensures cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen equipment, tableware, and utensils, supporting smooth and efficient operations in the hotel’s food service areas.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the dishwashing machine to clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Hand‑wash delicate items and larger kitchen tools as needed.
• Inspect cleaned items to ensure they are spotless, free of food particles, and properly dried before storage.
• Store cleaned items in designated areas and restock supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing and kitchen areas, including sweeping and mopping floors.
• Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation during busy periods.
• Dispose of kitchen waste and garbage according to restaurant standards.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation regulations and report any unsafe conditions.
• Communicate with team members to ensure timely turnaround of dishware and utensils.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.

Required profile

• Hospitality‑oriented attitude with a willingness to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Previous experience in a similar dishwasher or kitchen support role is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Basic understanding of kitchen safety and sanitation standards.
• Physical ability to bend, squat, stand for long periods, lift up to 60 lb, and work on uneven or slippery surfaces.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Bilingual communication skills in Spanish and English.
• Ability to work well under pressure with minimal supervision.
