Pharmacy Customer Service Associate – Certified

About the role

The Pharmacy Customer Service Associate delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience while registering sales at the cash register. Working under direct supervision, the associate assists the pharmacist, uses pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, and processes prescriptions.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers, resolve issues, and model best‑practice service traits.
• Operate the cash register, process sales, voids, returns, refunds and manage cash handling.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems, fill and verify prescriptions, and report any errors immediately.
• Support inventory management: receive, price, stock, and rotate merchandise using FIFO.
• Handle telephone calls that do not require pharmacist attention and process manual claims for third‑party prescription services.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, including Good Faith Dispensing and regulated product policies.

Required profile

• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Preferred: at least six months retail experience, good math and computer skills, knowledge of inventory control, and PTCB certification.
