AI and Machine Learning Engineer

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a senior AI/ML Engineer to lead initiatives across its Hybrid Cloud portfolio. The role is hybrid, with an expectation of working two days per week on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Research and apply state‑of‑the‑art AI/ML algorithms, frameworks and techniques to solve complex business problems.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable machine‑learning models and integrate them with existing HPE software systems.
• Lead design review sessions, mentor junior team members, and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Monitor production models, collect performance metrics, and continuously improve accuracy and efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI or a related quantitative field.
• 4–7 years of professional experience in machine learning, deep learning, and software engineering.
• Strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra, calculus, probability and statistics.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.

• Programming languages: Python, R, Java.
• Machine‑learning libraries and frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit‑learn, Keras.
• Version control and AI‑assistance tools: GitHub, GitHub CoPilot, Cursor.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure.
• Operating systems and DevOps: Linux, SRE practices.
• Advanced deep‑learning techniques: CNNs, RNNs, transformers, transfer learning, generative models.
