Analyst, Data & Analytics Regulatory

About the role

The Analyst, Data & Analytics Regulatory will manage complex data processes, develop rigorous analytical models, and interpret economic, demographic, and technical trends to support regulatory compliance and tariff forecasting. This position works closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure data reliability and deliver actionable insights for LUMA’s electricity services.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire, clean, validate, and integrate data from multiple stakeholders according to defined timelines.
• Support regulatory compliance by coordinating data analysis, preparing documentation, and contributing to tariff studies.
• Develop and maintain econometric forecast models for medium‑ and long‑term load forecasting.
• Analyze technical and operational data to assess the social, economic, and financial impact of energy programs.
• Interpret economic, demographic, and technical data to recommend options for electricity demand and economic issues.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design technical architectures that ensure efficient delivery and operational continuity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Applied Analytics/Data Science, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field (Master’s preferred).
• At least 3 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, process improvement, and statistical forecasting; experience in the electricity industry is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work in a heavily regulated environment and liaise with T&D utility assets.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (minimum intermediate).

Required skills

• Proficiency with statistical software such as SPSS, EViews, Python, and R.
• Experience in econometric or statistical forecasting and model interpretation.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
