Associate Mechanical Manufacturing Value Engineer

About the role

The Associate Mechanical Manufacturing Value Engineer will drive cost reduction, manufacturability improvements and quality enhancements for new and existing HPE products. Working in a hybrid model (approximately two days per week onsite), you will collaborate with design, supply chain and manufacturing teams to deliver high‑value mechanical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead value‑engineering initiatives focused on mechanical cost, quality and efficiency across sheet metal, machining, die‑casting, injection molding, extrusion and assemblies.
• Partner with contract manufacturers, ODMs and suppliers to optimise processes, qualify new tooling and reduce total product cost.
• Analyse manufacturing, supplier and field quality data, identify improvement opportunities and support root‑cause investigations.
• Support supplier audits, qualification activities and communicate technical recommendations with business cases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
• 2‑5 years of experience in mechanical manufacturing, value engineering or product engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with mechanical fabrication processes and an understanding of materials, tolerances and manufacturing methods.
• Advanced English proficiency and ability to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Required skills

• SolidWorks or equivalent CAD system.
• Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of sheet metal, machining, die‑casting, plastic injection molding and extrusion processes.
