Automation Service Technician

About the role

Carrier Enterprise is seeking a Controls Technician to program, design, and commission building automation and HVAC control systems. The position involves software programming, creating technical drawings, and supporting sales with technical recommendations. You will work on a variety of projects and travel outside of Puerto Rico as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Perform software programming using established standards.
• Create drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installations.
• Develop animated graphics for Building Automation Systems.
• Commission and start‑up HVAC control projects.
• Attend emergency calls and provide on‑site technical support.
• Assist sales teams with technical recommendations, job layouts, and bid proposals.
• Adhere to safety standards and promote a high regard for employee and subcontractor safety.

Required profile

• Strong technical experience in HVAC and building automation.
• Knowledge of wiring connections to controllers.
• Familiarity with building networks and basic HVAC sensor functionality.
• Willingness to travel outside of Puerto Rico.
