Board Certified Radiation Oncologist – Part‑Time

About the role

GLI seeks a Board‑Certified Radiation Oncologist to provide part‑time clinical coverage and on‑call support for its Radiation Oncology service at a federal hospital in Puerto Rico. The position offers long‑term, flexible supplemental work with scheduled on‑site days and 24/7 on‑call availability.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site Radiation Oncology services, including therapeutic radiation treatment and emergency care.
• Participate in treatment planning, chart rounds, and quality‑of‑care activities.
• Deliver 24/7 on‑call coverage during assigned periods; call‑back hours are billable.
• Complete VA clinical documentation in CPRS and engage in required peer reviews.
• Maintain compliance with VA credentialing, privileging, and annual training requirements.

Required profile

• MD or DO, Board Certified in Radiation Oncology (ABR).
• Unrestricted U.S. medical license (any state) and current BLS certification.
• U.S. citizenship or Green Card holder.
• Experience in radiation therapy delivery, treatment planning, oncology patient management, and handling radiation oncology emergencies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ARIA or Eclipse treatment planning systems (or similar).
• Familiarity with VA CPRS documentation system.
