About the role

RiskOne HR Consulting is conducting an executive search for a distinguished banking client that supports agricultural and rural communities in Puerto Rico. The Chief Executive Officer will set strategic direction, drive performance and lead the bank into its next growth phase.

Key responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight of credit administration, ensuring compliance with policies, sound lending practices and regulatory requirements.
• Direct loan servicing activities to meet borrowers’ needs while maintaining credit quality and risk standards.
• Oversee physical assets, safeguarding them and ensuring accurate financial and public record reporting in accordance with Puerto Rico law.
• Develop and manage the organizational structure, delegating authority and accountability across the management team.
• Prepare and present financial, operating and board reports, including timely Call Reports to the Farm Credit Administration.
• Lead budgeting, fiscal and accounting functions, ensuring GAAP compliance and performance within budget.
• Attract, develop and inspire a professional team, establishing performance standards and compensation tied to results.
• Represent the bank in the community, organizing meetings, marketing events and participating in committees.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of banking experience, including at least five years managing a commercial credit portfolio.
• Minimum seven years in middle to upper‑level management positions.
• Master’s degree preferred in Business Administration or Finance.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Strong oral and written communication, planning, organizational and decision‑making abilities.
