Cloud Developer Intern

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is recruiting a Cloud Developer Intern in Aguadilla. The role is designed as onsite, with the expectation that you will primarily work from an HPE partner or customer office. The position falls under the Cloud Developer job family, which builds cloud-based solutions from the ground up for mission-critical applications and works with project managers and development partners on delivery, deployment, operation, monitoring and support.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop and implement cloud solutions tailored to business needs.
• Assist in the deployment and configuration of cloud infrastructure, platforms and services.
• Contribute to optimizing and automating cloud deployment processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Perform testing and troubleshooting of cloud systems to ensure reliability, performance and security.
• Stay up to date with cloud computing trends and best practices and give recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Support ongoing cloud operations and provide technical assistance as needed.

Required profile

• Working towards a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software development or another IT-related field.
• Knowledge of at least one programming language such as C, C++, Python, JavaScript or Java, along with web sockets and cloud networking protocols.
• Familiarity with software design for systems running on multiple platform types.
• Basic understanding of OOP, MVC design patterns, SQL/NoSQL databases, GNU/Linux, IPC, process scheduling and TCP/IP.
• Some exposure to full-stack Java development, Java frameworks and application servers, SOAP/REST APIs, responsive JavaScript (Angular, Node, React.js) and version control (preferably Git).
