Department Manager - Plaza Del Sol

About the role

H&M is looking for a Department Manager for its Plaza Del Sol store in Bayamón. The manager leads the team, builds an inclusive culture of collaboration and entrepreneurship, and ensures an excellent operational and visual experience for customers and colleagues. The role covers sales, team management, visual merchandising and retail operations.

Key responsibilities

• Own the total customer experience in the store, curating visuals and merchandise according to global guidelines and representing the brand positively with customers
• Set and track sales and budget goals, and follow up on sales to optimise results and profits
• Promote the Customer Loyalty App (Hello Member) and in-store sustainability initiatives, and run the store cost-efficiently
• Keep the fitting rooms and checkout running correctly, including transactions, returns and exchanges, and handle administrative routines for people and operations
• Stay up to date with fashion trends, competitors and influencers, and share product and fashion knowledge with the team
• Handle recruitment, onboarding, performance management, upskilling and succession planning, and plan and schedule the team
• Maintain a clean, tidy sales floor and back of house, with good stock levels, price signs and garment care
• Follow opening and closing routines, and keep abreast of in-store services such as Click & Collect and the Instore Care App

Required profile

• A strong leader who enjoys taking responsibility for others
• An effective communicator, analytical problem solver who can work with numbers and manage statistics
• Achievement-oriented and customer centric
