Electrical Design Engineer II – Hybrid (Aguadilla, PR)

About the role

Join Collins Aerospace’s Mission Systems organization as an Electrical Design Engineer II. The position is hybrid, based in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, and requires U.S. citizenship.

Key responsibilities

• Perform PCB design tasks including requirements review, schematic development, documentation, basic signal‑integrity considerations, board stack‑up definition, and coordination with layout engineers.
• Support creation of hardware test plans and assist with hardware integration and troubleshooting activities.
• Design, verify, test, and support analog and digital electronic hardware under guidance from senior engineers.
• Collaborate with power, digital, mechanical, systems, and manufacturing teams to deliver hardware that meets system requirements.
• Follow AS9100 quality processes and contribute to continuous improvement of hardware development practices.
• Communicate technical information clearly in both verbal and written formats while managing multiple priorities to meet project deadlines.

Required profile

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with at least two years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance.
• Professional proficiency in English (verbal and written).

Required skills

• PCB design and schematic capture using ECAD tools such as Siemens Xpedition or Mentor Graphics.
• Basic knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, including microcontrollers, programmable logic, and processors.
• Experience with lab test equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, logic analyzer, power supply).
• Understanding of signal‑integrity concepts and board stack‑up definition.
