Engineering Manager – Cybersecurity R&D

About the role

This hybrid position leads a team at the frontier of cybersecurity within HPE's Junos Cybersecurity R&D organization. You will shape secure networking products, including routers, switches, and firewalls, and drive AI‑enabled defense capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead a team delivering security certification readiness, EUCRA support, security features, test harnesses, and AI‑driven defenses.
• Manage headcount, schedules, budgets, and cross‑geography project execution while communicating status to stakeholders.
• Drive process improvements and cost reductions, and provide people‑care management including hiring, performance planning, coaching, and career development.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience with 1–2 years of people‑management experience.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of cybersecurity, networking, and network products (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Experience with Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved.
• Applied cryptography and security certification processes.
• AI‑driven vulnerability discovery and remediation.
