Engineering Tools Support Engineer

About the role

This hybrid position supports engineering productivity by managing and operating key engineering IT tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Jenkins, CI/CD systems, and Slack. You will coordinate request workflows, enforce process standards, and partner with engineers and tool owners to improve service quality and automation adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end request execution, ticket lifecycle management, and SLA compliance for tools like Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and Jenkins.
• Maintain audit‑ready documentation, manage user access lifecycles, and support periodic access reviews.
• Drive process standardization, identify operational gaps, and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and integrations using REST APIs and JSON to improve scalability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience supporting engineering tools, service‑desk, or operations roles.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a process‑improvement mindset.

Required skills

• Jira and Confluence administration.
• GitHub repository, team, and permission management.
• Jenkins pipeline and job configuration.
• Slack workspace administration and app governance.
• Automation scripting and integration using REST APIs and JSON.
