Global Category Manager - Communications IC, Retimers, PHY

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring a Global Category Manager for communications IC, retimers and PHY categories. The role is defined as hybrid, with an average of 2 days per week spent in an HPE office. It covers execution of commodity and category strategies worldwide, procurement policies and tactics, and coordination with engineering, manufacturing and business units to maintain planned inventory levels and assure supply.

Key responsibilities

• Lead or take part in cross-functional teams on priority or new assignments with strategic implications
• Develop and run program and process solutions that improve business processes and meet business objectives
• Analyze owned programs, metrics and process-oriented tasks, using independent judgment to improve them
• Work across functions to build solutions and strengthen existing business processes
• Provide strategic development, analytical and strategic support to drive organizational goals
• Mentor and guide lower-level contributors
• Develop and execute strategic plans and initiatives across the company's businesses and/or geographies

Required profile

• First-level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred
• Typically 6-10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, with global procurement experience strongly preferred
• Excellent understanding of procurement processes and corporate compliance
• Strong business application skills and excellent communication skills
• Excellent project management skills and leadership
