Global Category Manager - Communications IC, Retimers, PHY

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring a Global Category Manager for Communications IC, Retimers and PHY, within its Supply Chain & Operations function. The role is hybrid, with an average of two days per week spent in an HPE office. It covers execution of commodity and category strategies worldwide, procurement policies and tactics, and coordination with engineering, manufacturing and business units to maintain planned inventory levels and assure supply.

Key responsibilities

• Execute commodity and category strategies worldwide and company procurement policies and tactics
• Coordinate purchasing with engineering, manufacturing, strategic procurement and business units to maintain inventory, assure supply and meet service levels
• Lead or take part in cross-functional teams and introduce new processes, program solutions and methods
• Develop program and process solutions, monitor owned programs and key metrics, and drive continuous improvement
• Provide strategic development and analytic support, and mentor lower-level contributors
• Develop and execute strategic plans across the company's businesses and geographies

Required profile

• First-level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred
• Typically 6-10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, with global procurement experience strongly preferred
• Mastery of English and the local language
