Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

HPE is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join its CloudOps/DevOps team. The role is hybrid, with an expectation of working two days per week from the HPE office in Aguadilla.

Key responsibilities

• Install and configure lab equipment, including rack/stack, cabling, power, and connectivity.
• Manage lab storage provisioning, monitoring, and operational support.
• Oversee hypervisor health checks, daily operations, and issue triage.
• Monitor and maintain compute, storage, and edge network infrastructure for optimal performance.
• Execute Ansible‑based automation workflows for remediation and recovery.
• Support and enforce lab network security controls and follow runbooks and security standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Practical experience with physical infrastructure setup and management.
• Hands‑on experience with virtualization platforms and hypervisors.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure and storage monitoring tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
