Junior Account Executive

About the role

The Junior Account Executive is the primary contact for a portfolio of low‑complexity accounts, ensuring proactive service, effective communication, and timely resolution of client needs. The role supports renewals and contributes to client retention through coordinated cross‑functional efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an assigned portfolio of lower‑complexity accounts, assess client needs, prioritize activities, and coordinate internal resources.
• Lead preparation and execution of renewals, develop presentations and recommendations, and participate in more complex renewal initiatives.
• Evaluate and coordinate resolution of service matters, conduct client visits, maintain work plans, and identify retention risks.
• Coordinate client meetings, benefits orientations, educational interventions, and other account‑related activities, sometimes outside regular business hours.
• Oversee group implementations, coverage changes, and renewals, ensuring accurate data in company systems and timely delivery of required materials.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Health Services Administration, or related field (or Associate's degree with relevant experience).
• At least 6 months (or 1 year for associate degree) of customer service or account management experience in the healthcare insurance industry.
• Valid driver’s license for Puerto Rico and willingness to obtain required OCS insurance licenses within six months.
• Intermediate proficiency in Spanish and English (both written and verbal).

Required skills

• Strong communication and client relationship skills.
• Ability to coordinate cross‑functional resources and manage deadlines.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, regulatory standards, and insurance industry practices.
