Loss Prevention Specialist

About the role

The Loss Prevention Specialist safeguards guests, team members, and assets at Wyndham Grand Rio Mar by preventing, observing, and reporting incidents such as accidents, property damage, and criminal activity.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security operations and respond promptly to emergencies, including medical incidents, fire alarms, and disturbances.
• Document incidents, draft detailed reports, and maintain records in compliance with company and legal standards.
• Support leadership in managing guest and visitor-related matters and ensure compliance with safety policies and HR regulations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in loss prevention, security, law enforcement, or hospitality security.
• Prior experience in a hotel, resort, or high‑volume customer service environment is highly desirable.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.

Required skills

• Ability to identify safety hazards, suspicious activity, and operational risks.
• Proficiency with surveillance systems and access control systems.
• Knowledge of basic security technology and emergency response protocols.
