Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor will lead the planning, execution and oversight of all facility maintenance, calibration and small‑construction projects for a GMP‑regulated life‑science environment, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize and schedule maintenance and repair activities for the facility, including calibration, installations, small construction and grounds improvement projects.
• Supervise craft workers and contractors, review work for compliance with regulations, energy‑efficiency standards and contract terms.
• Maintain records of work orders, materials, budgets and generate compliance certificates or test documents for customer orders.
• Ensure facilities meet state, federal and local codes and monitor operational conditions against regulatory and customer requirements.
• Provide training, performance evaluations and mentorship for maintenance team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering discipline (MBA, MS or ME preferred).
• 3‑5 years of supervisory experience in a GMP‑regulated manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, lift up to 35 lb regularly and up to 50 lb occasionally.
• Strong customer‑oriented attitude and effective communication skills.

Required skills

• Analog, digital and solid‑state electronic circuit repair.
• Proficiency with maintenance management systems such as LAN, CalPro, Maximo, SAP, Metasys and PLCs.
• Experience managing fire and security system controls.
• Budget preparation, contract administration and supplier negotiation.
