Principal Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

As a Principal Site Reliability Engineer at HPE, you will design, build, and optimise cloud infrastructure and deployment systems, directly influencing scalability, security and operational efficiency across our platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Enhance Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and enforce standards.
• Optimise AWS and GCP environments for scalability, security and cost.
• Develop internal tools and improve CI/CD pipelines using FluxCD and Jenkins.
• Address container image vulnerabilities and build CIS/STIG‑compliant AMIs.
• Strengthen monitoring, alerting and observability with Prometheus, Grafana and ELK.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and fine‑tune distributed systems such as Apache Kafka and Cassandra.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of hands‑on experience in Infra Ops, DevOps or SRE.
• Strong Linux (Debian‑based) expertise and cloud experience with AWS and GCP.
• Proven ability to design, implement and maintain large‑scale, secure cloud infrastructure.
• Excellent problem‑solving, debugging skills and a strong sense of ownership.
