Principal Systems/Software Engineer – Cloud & On‑Premise Development

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a seasoned technical leader to design, develop and troubleshoot cloud‑native and on‑premise security management platforms. The position is hybrid, requiring on‑site work two days per week at the San Juan office.

Key responsibilities

• Own multiple core software modules end‑to‑end, delivering high‑quality code in a fast‑paced environment.
• Lead, mentor and grow junior engineers, fostering best practices across the team.
• Define organization‑wide architectures and methodologies for multi‑platform software systems.
• Evaluate new technologies and partner solutions, integrating them into the product roadmap.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong background in cloud products and micro‑services architecture.
• Proven ability to work in globally distributed teams across multiple time zones.
• Excellent analytical, debugging and communication skills in English.
