Quality Automation Engineer

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise's PC/Flex team is looking for a Quality Automation Engineer in a challenging, fast-paced environment. The main focus is developing test automation code within a highly dynamic team. The role is hybrid, with about two days per week spent in an HPE office.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in functional and design specifications and other design documentation
• Execute and automate long-running, scale, reliability and security test cases, and report the results
• Work with Product Management, Customer Support and Platform Engineering teams
• Mentor new hires joining the team

Required profile

• BS or MS degree in science or engineering from an accredited institution
• Ideal candidates have 2-4 years of experience building and supporting automation test frameworks from the ground up
• Experience in CI/CD and regression, scale and performance testing
• Ability to work with stakeholders across engineering teams on defect investigation and corrective/preventative actions

Required skills

• Complete SDLC knowledge and software testing methodology, planning and execution
• Strong Python and Playwright coding skills
• Root cause analysis and troubleshooting
• Tools: Pytest, virtualization, Linux/VM environments, CI/CD, Git/GitLab, Jenkins, scale and performance testing tools
