Senior Financial Analyst – Credit Cards Finance

About the role

The Senior Financial Analyst for Credit Cards will provide advanced financial analysis, portfolio insights, and performance reporting to support strategic decisions across Popular's credit card business, including PREMIA and Cash Rewards programs.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze financial results, profitability, delinquency and key metrics; prepare timely management reports.
• Support annual budgeting and reforecast processes, maintain documentation of assumptions, and monitor actual vs. budget/forecast variances.
• Partner with product, risk, accounting, fraud, operations and technology teams to align metrics, controls and reporting requirements.
• Develop and maintain financial models, scenario analyses and Power BI dashboards for decision support.
• Prepare executive‑level presentations that translate data into actionable insights for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 3–5 years of financial reporting, analysis and modeling experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills; ability to work independently with high accuracy.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, with high ethical standards and stakeholder management capability.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot, complex formulas).
• Power BI dashboard creation and automated reporting.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA or similar financial planning and reporting systems.
• Financial modeling, budgeting and forecasting.
