Senior Manager, Component Planning & Procurement

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is looking for a Manager II, Semiconductor Supply Planning & Procurement to build, develop and lead a team of commodity procurement managers and a buy-sell procurement operations manager supporting HPE Networking sustaining products. The team manages the supply of critical semiconductor and memory components (memory, CPUs, FPGAs, silicon, wireless and other electronic components), covering forecasting, supplier engagement, procurement execution, inventory and allocation management and supply risk mitigation. The role is hybrid, with about two days per week spent in an HPE office.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop commodity procurement managers and procurement operations professionals, set priorities and goals, and support succession planning.
• Own supply health across semiconductor and memory commodities, lead cross-commodity supply reviews and mitigation plans for shortages and allocations, and drive forecast accuracy and supply visibility.
• Manage procurement execution, purchase orders, supplier commitments and CRD accuracy, and serve as escalation point for supplier delivery and allocation issues.
• Ensure inventory is positioned across distributors, hubs and manufacturing locations, optimize inventory and standardize shortage and allocation processes.
• Lead executive reporting on supply health, inventory and supplier performance, build dashboards and communicate risks and mitigation plans to senior leadership.
• Drive process improvements, automation and reporting enhancements, and partner with cross-functional teams to improve supply chain performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, operations or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, commodity management, supply planning or supply operations.
• 3+ years of people management experience leading supply chain or procurement teams.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor and electronic component supply chains, including allocation, inventory planning, supplier commitments, lead time and lifecycle planning.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence decisions across organizations.
• Mastery of English and the local language.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency and strong analytical skills.
• ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle or equivalent.
• Preferred: experience with networking, server, storage or hardware manufacturing; inventory hubs and distributor-managed inventory; Power BI, Tableau or similar BI tools; Lean Six Sigma.
