About the role
Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Senior Network Test Engineer to support networking products with customer‑specific testing. This hybrid position expects about two days per week onsite at an HPE office.
Key responsibilities
- Design limited enhancements, updates, and programming changes for networking subsystems.
- Develop and execute test plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned application portions.
- Identify, debug, and suggest improvements for code and test issues.
- Collaborate with internal and outsourced partners on design status, progress, and issue resolution.
Required profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electronics, Electrical or equivalent.
- 6‑10 years of networking experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Required skills
- Internet protocols: TCP, UDP, IPv4, IPv6.
- Routing and switching: BGP, OSPF, ISIS, ARP, VLANs, MPLS, L3VPN, MC‑LAG, LACP, L2VPN, VPLS, Multicast, NGMVPN, EVPN‑VXLAN, GRE, IPSec, NAT, HTTP, NetConf.
- Layer‑2 technologies: Spanning Tree, LAG, Virtual Chassis, CLOS Architecture, HA Design, EVPN.
- Test automation: Python, Pytest, Go or other scripting languages.
- Networking test equipment: Spirent, Ixia.
