Senior Systems/Software Engineer – Cloud & On-Premise Development

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is looking for a senior systems/software engineer to design, develop and debug cloud‑native and on‑premise security management platforms. The role is hybrid, requiring an average of two days per week on‑site at the San Juan office.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end development of one or more product modules, ensuring high‑quality code and robust unit tests.
• Debug and design software at the module level across multiple features, contributing to both cloud and on‑premise versions of Security Director.
• Evaluate new technologies and partner solutions, creating integration plans aligned with the product roadmap.
• Review designs for compliance with development standards and provide feedback to improve product quality.
• Mentor less‑experienced engineers and influence technical decisions across distributed teams.

Required profile

• 6‑10 years of experience in software engineering, preferably with cloud‑native microservices.
• Proven ability to work in globally distributed teams across multiple time zones.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a track record of delivering complex software solutions.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
