Senior Systems/Software Engineer – Cloud & On-Premise Testing

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Senior Systems/Software Engineer to own end‑to‑end quality validation for Security Director Cloud and Security Director On‑Prem. The role is hybrid, requiring an average of two days per week on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute functional, system, integration, security, performance and regression tests for cloud‑native and virtualized deployments.
• Test microservice‑based systems in Kubernetes on AWS and on VMware/KVM hypervisors.
• Perform browser compatibility, user workflow and traffic testing from an end‑user perspective.
• Validate administrative workflows, role‑based access controls and system log generation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5‑7 years of experience testing networking and security products, preferably in cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of networking, virtualization and firewall concepts.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, containers and microservices.
• Proficiency in Python programming and UI test automation using Playwright.
• Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6), firewalls, load balancers, WAN/LAN.
• Scripting skills in Bash or similar for test automation.
