Software Developer Cloud & Distributed Systems

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a passionate Software Developer to join its Cloud Engineering team. You will help build the next generation of Mist’s cloud‑based network configuration and reporting platform, delivering highly scalable distributed services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain fault‑tolerant distributed services running in the cloud.
• Implement microservices and backend components using Python, Go, and Java, including event‑driven stream processing.
• Create real‑time and batch data pipelines for AI‑driven engineering, handling event streams and ML workflows.
• Write comprehensive unit, integration, and functional tests to support continuous delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of software engineering experience with strong proficiency in Python, Go, or Java.
• 1+ year building event‑driven stream processing systems (Kafka, Storm, Flink, etc.).

Required skills

• RESTful API design and implementation.
• Experience with distributed datastores such as Redis, Cassandra, or PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of cloud‑native technologies and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with big‑data frameworks like Apache Spark or Databricks.
• DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, and service ownership.
• Data tooling experience (Pandas, DuckDB) and Linux fundamentals.
