Talent Acquisition Specialist

About the role

As the Puerto Rico Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will support recruitment for AbbVie's manufacturing sites and commercial divisions in Barceloneta and San Juan. You will design sourcing and talent strategies for current and emerging roles across functions, applying knowledge of labor legislation, and may grow into recruiting new profiles and managing business expansions with hiring timelines under 60 days.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit for AbbVie's Puerto Rico sites (AbbVie Ltd., AbbVie Biotechnology Ltd. and the commercial offices)
• Build a strong pool of qualified candidates and proactively source talent aligned to business priorities
• Manage open requisitions, update and manage SmartRecruiters, track recruiting metrics and report results
• Share knowledge bases, industry overviews and market trends with team members and business leaders
• Maintain relationships with universities, technical schools and government agencies for specialized temporary personnel
• Prepare and approve offer packages with equity and market competitiveness data
• Pre-screen candidates, partner with hiring managers and ensure compliance with Puerto Rico and federal labor laws and applicant tracking reporting

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree
• 2+ years of recruitment experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment (5+ years preferred)
• Healthcare/pharmaceutical and operations recruitment experience strongly preferred
• Proactive recruiting and sourcing experience
• Working knowledge of Puerto Rico and federal labor laws
• Full written and spoken English and Spanish

Required skills

• Strong technical skills with an ATS; SmartRecruiters preferred
• Frequent computer use (50% or more of the day)
