Test Automation Engineer III

About the role

The Test Automation Engineer III will work in a hybrid model, spending about two days per week on‑site at an HPE office. You will be responsible for validating, testing, troubleshooting, and improving networking products and solutions while collaborating with product management, systems engineering, and development teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and validation procedures for networking products.
• Perform feature, system, integration, and regression testing to ensure product quality and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex networking and software issues.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and frameworks using Python.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and participate in validation of reference designs and customer deployment scenarios.
• Identify, document, reproduce, and track defects through resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with typically 5+ years of relevant experience in networking, validation engineering, testing, or quality engineering.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work effectively within globally distributed engineering teams.

Required skills

• Python programming and automation experience.
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
• Linux and scripting experience.
• Root‑cause analysis and strong communication skills.
