Utilities Facilitator

About the role

The Utilities Facilitator is responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising preventive and corrective maintenance of industrial and automotive mechanical equipment, systems, buildings and grounds. The role ensures safe, efficient execution of maintenance activities while supporting strategic planning and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and replace electrical systems including high‑voltage equipment, substations and distribution controls.
• Maintain compressed air generation and distribution equipment.
• Maintain HVAC systems supporting plant operations and critical areas.
• Maintain instrumentation and control systems, providing technical troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
• Support work‑order planning, preventive and corrective maintenance programs, and capital projects.
• Supervise and train instrumentation and HVAC technicians, identifying training needs.
• Ensure compliance with specifications, codes and safety standards, and drive energy‑efficiency and reliability improvements.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in Automation, Instrumentation or equivalent (required); Bachelor’s in Electrical Control Engineering or Automation (preferred).
• 5‑10 years as a Certified Electrician/Instrumentalist, with 2‑4 years in electrical maintenance supervision.
• Experience in project management, CMMS SAP, blueprint design, and predictive/corrective maintenance.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and ISO management systems (9001, 45001, 14001, 22000).
• Fluent in English and Spanish, with strong communication and leadership abilities.
