Event Staff Supervisor

About the role

ASM Global is hiring an Event Staff Supervisor in Hato Rey. The role covers guest relations activities such as greeting, checking in and directing guests as they enter the building, and includes other duties as assigned. The position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Greet, check and direct guests, and screen them for camera/video equipment and other items not allowed inside the building
• Secure areas, respond to emergencies and ensure the safety of all guests
• Respond to requests for service and assistance, and anticipate problems with possible solutions
• Communicate with managers and supervisors via two-way radio and report incidents, including on-site injuries
• Identify risks or hazards in the building and create safe logistics for the event
• Observe employee and crowd behaviour before, during and after events
• Handle customer service complaints and direct them to the proper manager or supervisor
• Follow facility rules, regulations, policies and procedures, and follow the life safety and emergency program
• Work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays, and represent the company professionally
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Event & Security and the Event & Security Manager

Required profile

• High school degree required; associate's degree or higher desirable, or 1 year of related experience or training
• Customer service background preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Open availability to work events on an ongoing basis, including weekends, evenings and holidays
