GMP Technician – Puerto Rico

About the role

The GMP Technician will maintain clean and orderly conditions in assigned GMP‑controlled areas, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards while supporting shift leads and responding to customer requests.

Key responsibilities

• Keep GMP work areas clean, perform sanitization and routine wipe‑downs of walls, floors, windows, and equipment.
• Follow all safety rules, wear proper PPE, and stop unsafe behavior.
• Support shift lead with punch‑list items, work orders, and daily FN logs.
• Maintain and report maintenance issues for cleaning equipment.
• Adhere to customer and SBM SOPs, including gowning procedures and chemical safety protocols.
• Act as a fill‑in for other staff during shortages and assist with shutdown cleaning.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• 0.5–1 year of cleaning or GMP‑environment experience (preferred).
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification and valid driver’s license (preferred).
• Completed safety, task training, and gowning certifications; forklift certification may be required.

Required skills

• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment maintenance.
• Proficiency in gowning procedures for controlled environments.
• Chemical safety awareness.
• Forklift operation (if certified).
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
